Clinical responsibilities include interpretation of nuclear
medicine images at Barnes, Jewish, and Children's Hospitals,
supervision of radiology and nuclear medicine residents, and
aiding in the periodic review and updating of clinical procedures.
Unique responsibilities include overseeing the computer
operations of the Division of Nuclear Medicine, assisting in the
development and maintenance of the nuclear medicine clinical
software and networking systems, educating division personnel
in the use of the Macintosh computers used for both imaging and
non-imaging applications in the Division of Nuclear Medicine.

TEACHING TITLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Teaching responsibilities include instruction of radiology and
nuclear medicine residents during interpretation of clinical
images, discussing revisions of dictated reports with the
residents, and conducting resident teaching conferences on a
variety of nuclear medicine topics. Teaching conferences include
didactic and case review conferences in the Division, noon
departmental conferences, and pediatric nuclear medicine
conferences. Unique responsibilities include instruction of
residents in basics of digital nuclear medicine, tomography, and
new developments in gamma camera technology. In addition, Dr.
Wallis is responsible for the development and maintenance of a
digital nuclear medicine teaching file; this teaching file is
accessible both locally and via the Internet, and cases are
currently being accessed over 4000 times per month from sites
world-wide.
