Findings: RADIOPHARMACEUTICAL: 14.9 mCi F-18 Fluorodeoxyglucose i.v. FINDINGS: There is a focus of mild, diffuse FDG uptake within the anterior mediastinum. On CT images, it correlates to a soft tissue mass, which measures 2.5 x 1.6 cm in its transverse dimension. In addition, there is mild, diffuse FDG uptake within both thyroid glands. There is focally increased FDG uptake within the right acromioclavicular joint. This most likely represents inflammatory changes within the joint. Note is made of mild FDG uptake within the gastroesophageal junction, most likely physiologic |
