Findings: RADIOPHARMACEUTICAL: 3.0 mCi F-18 Fluorodeoxyglucose i.v.
FINDINGS:
There is a focus of heterogeneous FDG uptake that on the CT images correlates to a large cystic, soft tissue mass that is present within the anterior aspect of the superior and middle abdominal cavity. It also demonstrates multiple areas of focal calcification. A second FDG-avid soft tissue mass measuring 2.0 cm in its greatest dimension is present slightly in the superior anterior aspect and on the left side of this larger mass. Recent CT examination was unable to differentiate this mass as a separate entity from the first mass. A third heterogeneously FDG-avid large soft tissue mass, also with a cystic component is present within the pelvis. In addition, there are several FDG-avid hepatic lesions. These lesions represent malignant ectomesenchymoma and hepatic metastatic disease. There is left-sided hydronephrosis and hydroureter
Diagnosis: Metastatic malignant ectomesenchymoma with rhabdomyosarcomatous and neuroblastomatous elements
