Findings: The PET images demonstrates extensive intense FDG uptake within the spinal canal beginning at T12-L1 extending down to the L4-L5 level.

There is an infra-renal abdominal aortic aneurysm.
Diagnosis: Leptomeningeal lymphoma.
General Discussion: RADIOPHARMACEUTICAL: 14.5 mCi F-18 Fluorodeoxyglucose i.v.

The FDG uptake correlates with MRI findings of intra-thecal enhancing soft tissue along the nerve roots.  In this patient with known CNS lymphoma, this is most likely to represent leptomeningeal lymphoma.
